Manicle is a wine produced in the communes of Cheignieux-La-Balme and Pugnieu in the department of Ain.it is an appellation d'origine contrôlée Bugey.the area planted is very small and there are only 4 producers of Manicle.planted in Pinot noir for the red wines and in Chardonnay for the white wines. The vineyard is planted on a clay-limestone soil with scree stones, resulting from the erosion of the cliff, facing south and benefiting from an exceptional amount of sunshine.The wine is vinified and aged in oak barrels.The red Manicle 2015 won the silver medal at the contest of the great wines of France in Macon 2015.
