In the Ain departmental archives, the oldest known document attesting to the presence of vines on the Manicle hillside dates back to the 15th century.this place where everything is still harvested by hand, takes its name from the manicle, the glove of the wine-maker.the planted area is very small and there are only 4 Manicle producers.planted with Pinot noir for the red wines and Chardonnay for the white wines. The vines are planted on a clay-limestone soil dotted with scree from the erosion of the cliff, facing south and enjoying an exceptional sunshine. The wine is vinified and aged in oak barrels; the white Manicle has a very powerful aroma of grilled almonds, hazelnut, vanilla and will evolve to aromas of honey, apricot and acacia, fig, if left to age a little.Serving temperature:7/8°C.The white Manicle 2015 won the gold medal at the contest of the great wines of France Macon 2017.
